Welcome to MK-SmartHouse! Here you will soon find many detailed guides on many Smart Home devices, ranging from how to make sensors using the ESP8266 to OpenHAB 2 and the Raspberry Pi. I use the word soon because currently everything is a work in progress and it will take me some time to create the guides. The devices are already designed and tested, they are just waiting for tutorials to be written for them. Speaking of the guides and tutorials, these guides will be extremely detailed and have step by step instructions as well as product links, images and of course images. There will also be a community forum where if you have a problem you can leave a post and hopefully either I or someone else will assist you! What sets me and MK-SmartHouse apart is that I will be showing you the complete process of a Smart Home from start to finish, from the initial design to actually setting up to home automation server using the Raspberry Pi. Also, my Smart Home solution is very cheap and inexpensive; I like to call it Low-Cost because usually when you hear cheap you think of something not of high quality which this solution is very high quality and reliable! I hope you can join me in this journey to a complete Smart Home, if you are then join the email newsletter to be notified of new guides and updates!

In this video I will show you how to make an ultimate smart house / home with automation by showing you what is possible with just a little DIY work and guides from my channel as well as from my website mksmarthouse.com. Eventually you too can have a similar smart home to mine and even better.

This Smart Home System Is Based On the raspberry pi 2 / 3, OpenHAB 2, MQTT, ESP8266, Arduino, IOS, Android, HomeKit and Amazon echo.

The devices I will show you in the video are : door sensor, sprinkler system, power strip, electric blinds, wall mounted tablet, LED Strip, and fire sensor.

This channel and website will show you the path to creating your very own Ultimate Smart House using Arduino, raspberry pi, esp8266, OpenHAB 2 and more to do home automation. Each video will be a different project and tutorial that you can follow to make your house more technologically advanced. Also, there is more information as well as detailed guides on mksmarthouse.com

Hello my name is Matt Kaczynski and I am the founder of MK-SmartHouse. For the past couple years I have been really fascinated with with Smart Home technology and always thought and still do think it is the future. But, there is one problem, some of the technology is really expensive and not practical on a large scale. So, I looked at my options and did some research online and came across the ESP8266, MQTT and OpenHAB. This device and these two services combined create the ultimate Smart Home system at a low-cost while retaining its power. Then came a problem, there were not that many detailed guides on how to implement these three in terms of hardware and software on a large scale. I took matters in to my own hands and created a solution, MK-SmartHouse.
MK-SmartHouse is a resource and solution I created to show people how to make certain devices to control things like blinds and sense changes such as a door opening. These devices have been fully tested and are very reliable. But, my favorite part about these devices is that they are super simple to make. They are simple because I have done all the hard work of designing these devices and testing them, all you have to do is put them together using the detailed guides. I have worked really hard and have spent countless hours figuring out how to make them so you do not have to! Enjoy!
